Excerpt

USB 3.0 promises a faster, more power efficient common device bus. Is Linux ready for it?

Description

USB 3.0 promises wirespeeds of 5Gbps, and supports new link power management and function power management. For Linux to take advantage of this new speed and PM features, both the USB and storage kernel subsystems and the USB userspace interface will need to be modified. This talk will provide a brief overview of USB 3.0 before diving into development issues.
