Excerpt

Kernel Development and Testing with Autotest

Description

We will present the Autotest system, which is capable of controlling thousands of machines simultaneously, as individuals or clusters. Results are automatically published to http://test.kernel.org for every -git snapshot and release, where results from many different contributors can be combined and published.

We will cover the motivation for the project – the reasons for doing all testing via an automated system, how this makes developers life easier, not harder, and what kinds of testing this enables.

Feedback will also be solicited as to what tests and methods we can run to help the community, and what structural changes people would like to see in Autotest.

Autotest is released under the GPL v2
