EFI is more than grub and Secure Boot. This modern firmware interface enables a number of features relevant to Linux, including capsule update, TPM and HTTPS boot. This BoF session is a gathering of developers, testers and plumbers interested in how the low-level kernel interacts with UEFI firmware

    Biography

    Harry Hsiung is a technical marketing engineer for Intel and has been working on Unified Extensible Firmware interface (UEFI) for the past
    12 years.He has spent most of his time as a firmware engineer at Intel for 21 years and has worked on servers and client systems at Intel.
    Recently had just worked on running the UEFI plugfests with the UEFI forum and participated in enabling OS and OEM vendors on incorporating UEFI features into their releases.
