One Line Summary

Real Time Linux discussions "Wiki": "EtherPad":

The Real-Time preemption patch started in 2004 and large parts of the development has been integrated into the mainline kernel and into the affected user space libraries. There are still parts which need to be worked on for upstream inclusion.

The Real-Time track provides a discussion forum for ongoing and related work.

EtherPad notes

  • Biography

Long time Linux kernel hacker with embedded background and a strong affinity to impossible missions.

(Co)Maintainer for x86, everything timers, generic interrupt subsystem and some more in the Linux Kernel. Desperately keeping the real-time preemption patch in shape and merging it piecewise into the mainline kernel.
