A brief overview of SVM on ARM.

Abstract

Earlier this year I proposed an implementation of ATS, PRI and PASID in the ARM SMMUv3 driver. Along with that, I proposed to consolidate the API for host SVM, and add an interface to VFIO for userspace drivers.

In this session I’d like to talk about the differences between ARM SMMU and other architectures with regard to SVM, and discuss the requirements of the host SVM interface.
