One Line Summary

Introduction to the problem space of using programmable logic in general purpose datacenter and embedded environments

Abstract

FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) and other programmable logic devices are increasingly seeing use in both traditional embedded as well as emerging datacenter environments. In this session, we introduce the microconference, the key community members involved, and lay the groundwork for the remainder of the day. Jon will kick off the session and introduce the work done to date, and some proposed goals for the afternoon.
