Recently, systemd gained it's own mini-daemon for host name resolution, called "systemd-resolved". This deserves explanation

Abstract

systemd-resolved is a local caching DNS and LLMNR stub resolver. Work on adding mDNS and DNSSEC support is in the works. In this talk I hope to shed some details on the details, and why that matters.
