Linux Plumbers Conf 2013

One Line Summary

Abstract

There are a number of different and overlapping gadget drivers. Android has its own, but maintainers wanted to see the functionality merged via the ConfigFS gadget. This round-table discussion between Android developers and key upstream community members will discuss what work is remaining to provide sufficient functionality to allow Android to migrate to an upstream solution.

  Biography

  John Stultz has worked on x86 server enablement, Enterprise Realtime Linux, and now as a member of the Linaro.org effort. In the Linux community, he has worked mostly as maintainer of the timekeeping subsystem, but has also worked on stability and scalability issues with the PREEMPT_RT patch, and most recently has been working to upstream Android functionality into the mainline kernel.
