KMS API extensions

We will explore device features not exposed by the KMS API and how to address the situation.
Abstract
The following device features will need API extensions:
- Non-memory-backed pipeline sources
- Memory write-back
- Chained composers
- Non-linear pipelines (multiple encoders, …)
- Root plane that doesn’t span the whole display

Jesse Barker is a Principal Software Engineer at ARM Ltd., where he is (hopefully) making graphics for Linux on ARM a more interesting place to be. In previous lives he has touched on pretty well all layers of the graphics stack on a number of platforms on behalf of a number of companies (Digital, SGI, ATI/AMD, to name a few).
